We are winding down the school year and I can hardly believe it! In some ways it feels like I was meeting my littles just yesterday…..but then again in other ways it feels like we’ve known one another FOR. EVER.
I’m trying to squeeze everything that I can into this last week and half! Academic stuff and a little bit of fun fluff stuff, too! What is first grade without just a touch of fluff here and there? 🙂 We’ve been working on identifying three-dimensional geometric shapes and discussing their attributes in relationship to their flat friends, the 2D shapes. I asked the littles to look around and identify as many three-dimensional shapes as possible in our classroom. And boy can they identify them!
For a little bit of extra practice (and for the sake of variety…they are bound to find interesting shapes at home!), I sent home this little page for homework tonight. I can’t wait to find out what shapes they were able to identify at home. If you’re interested, grab this page for free below! Happy teaching!
